For many years this gentle old carol has been a favorite of ours, so we decided to do a special arrangement with an expressive orchestration that lays a string orchestra over a bed of acoustic guitars. For each animal, there is a different solo instrument in counterpoint to the solo, and they all come together for the closing of this lovely setting.
